We were saddened to hear of the passing of Mamie and send our sympathies to you at this time. Losing a parent is something we know we will face but it is still hard to accept. We hope memories from years past help to ease your loss, as well as knowing others are thinking of you at this difficult time. Carl, My heart goes out to you and your family. Your mother was a very special lady(a true lady). I have many treasured memories of her wonderful sense of humour and sense of fun (she had me and everyone else in stitches many a time),her kind and giving heart ( so thoughtful to myself and to so many others), her ability to bring joy and beauty to very simple things (her garden, her crafts, her home),her love of her family and welcoming spirit to all (especially the underdog or the more fragile or needy).She was an angel here on earth and I hope that you find comfort knowing that she is now an angel in heaven, at peace and no doubt all ready tending her garden and making things even more beautiful. She has touched many lives and her spirit will always remain.I am certain that your devotion and love to her helped her to gently and peacefully say goodbye with the dignity of a true lady and loving Mom.
