Condolences
Paul and I were friends for many years. I may never again have a friend that I aligned with so well. That I shared so many common hobbies and interests.
We both loved motorcycles (Paul could really handle a motorcycle). We took off so many times on our sport bikes with no destination, just point, shoot and have fun. We were both audiophiles and music lovers. We spent many hours playing with our stereos, talking tech, trying out new gear and even went to stereo shows together. Both of us were also into photograghy. We were both into birding and loved Point Pelee. We enjoyed sharing eachothers bird pics and advice. Paul was very smart and very knowledgable about many things. When he was interested in something he jumped in with both feet. He loved sucking up all the information and putting it to use.
There was someting about Paul, a childish quality that is hard to describe. He could laugh, big laughs. I'll miss that. My kids reminded me of when we were going for a walk years ago and Paul hid behind a fence and threw firecackers at us. He laughed his head off. He loved "goofing around". He could be absolutely hilarious. You could always be yourself with Paul. He was one of the least pretentious people I have ever known. Paul was Paul. He didn't hold back. Paul was real. Paul was a kind hearted person. He loved Ann, the kids and Libby. He made my life better. I hope I did the same for him. R.I.P my friend. I am certainly going to miss you.
