Condolences
I just learned today Oct.20/24 from Cynthis tht Joy had gone to Heaven. Joy and I cared for children at Emmanuel Baptist Church during services so many years ago. She was always kind and giving especially to my special needs son. Years later I met her again at Cynthis's home where I was a nurse for Sarahann. Bless you all and condolences in your loss!
My first memory of Joy (as Lisa's Mom) was not getting in trouble for sneaking out of houses and meeting on the street and just hanging out in the backyard late at night when I was around 12 years old. That was 39 years ago. Joy continued to be the coolest Mom I knew. Always inviting in and feeding people. Telling great stories and asking about the small, important details of life. Joy was kindness personified. She will be missed.
My mother and Joy were best friends, so as kids my sister and I were often over at Joy and Bing’s house. Joy was always warm and kind and friendly. Later, we always received Joy and Bing’s Christmas card which also included a newsletter recounting the family events of that year. Her love for Bing, her children and grandchildren was very evident in those letters. You were all her pride and joy! Deb and I will be thinking and praying for you all.
I remember spending every Christmas Eve at Aunt Joy's house when we were little kids. You will be missed very much. Our condolences ❤️
I will greatly miss Joy as we were lifelong friends from early childhood. When I last visited we talked about how we grew up playing together, kept in touch over the years and now wished that we still just lived across the street from each other.
