Craig Richard Frankland – April 24, 1961 – January 4, 2023 Passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Wednesday January 4, 2023 in his 62 nd year. Survived by his beloved partner Lisa; his children Ronnie, Sean (Jillian Westbrook), Zack and Craig Jr.; and his brothers Rob Obediah and Jerry Frankland and sisters Kim McEwen and Susan Lawrence. Loved and cherished by his aunt Carole; niece Tina Obediah (Greg Zaluski); and cousins Gail, Jim (Dee Powless), and Cher Obediah. Remembered by cousins Melanie Marsden (David Meyers), Wendy Lord (Marsden) (Steve Lord), and Sheldon Marsden. Pre-deceased by his loving mother Lorna “Gran” Oliver (Marsden); father Gerry Frankland; aunt Shirley Green (Marsden), aunt Alverna “Doll” Marsden; and uncle Hayden Marsden. Reunited with his brother Ronald Wilfred “Butch” Obediah; his sister Elaine Deborah “Deb” Obediah; cousin Dwayne Obediah, and many others all of whom he loved. Above all else, Craig valued family. He was a father. A true ‘hockey dad’, mentor, teacher, and caregiver to his children. Through his role as a father, he expressed the lessons he learned and the importance of sensitivity, love in all forms, and truth. Craig was also a lifelong supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs; an avid golfer with his good buddy and cousin Roger Green; and in his latter period of life, a student of music and art. As a member of the Alderville First Nation, he blessed his family with many memories that were created during family reunions, canoe trips, and hockey and lacrosse tournaments. His family will remember Craig as a man with a strong presence and unwavering ideals; which were always complimented by his gentle touch, loving guidance, and good humour. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hill & Robinson Funeral Home, and visitations will take place between 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday January 11th, 2023.
