Obituary of George Henderson

Henderson, Thomas 'George' Henry - Passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, November 10th, 2022 in his 102nd year. Reunited with his wife Dorothy. Loving father of Brent (2021) Nancy and Robert. Cherished grandfather of Hillary Henderson and Brian Henderson. Great Gampa to Allyssa and Danielle. George served his country with pride and honour during WWII for 4 1/2 years overseas with 102nd BTY RCA. He was a charter and lifetime member of the Dunsdon Legion Branch 461. He later worked for Bell Canada and retired after 35 years of service. At 101 years of age, George was witness to some of the most remarkable advances in our society and watching him learn about cell phones and video chat with people in other countries brought laughter and amazement. George was able to stay at home with the help of family and friends over the last few years. We are forever greatful for “George’s Angels” and their constant friendship. George never let you leave his home for a trip without the words “safe journey”. We all wish you a safe journey and God Bless. Grandpa we will miss you, but we will be okay and we will see you again. Family and friends will be received at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street, Brantford, 519-752-2543 on Wednesday November 16th, 2022 from 10:00 am until the service time at 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will commence in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
