Obituary of June Russell

Russell, June Patricia (Cayley) - Passed away peacefully at Stedman Community Hospice on Friday, November 4th, 2022 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald "Rusty" for over 60 years. Predeceased by her dearly loved mother Mary-Ellen (Nell) and father Bill Gayley. June was a special aunt to Barbara Churchward and her husband Bob, and cousin to John and Cheryl Moore. Also survived by her Aunt Rita of Thorndale, Ontario, several cousins and friends. June loved her home, to cook, bake and knit. She also loved birds, animals, all types of music (when well performed) and the New York Yankees. She will be missed by her friend Rosemary in England. June and Rosemary have been pen-pals for over 67 years. They have never seen each other in person, never even talked on the phone. Rosemary has saved every letter June has written to her. "A special friendship". Friends will be received at the Hill and Robinson Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street on Wednesday from 10am until 11am.
