Obituary of James Cass

JAMES ARTHUR CASS 1930-2022 It is with profound sadness that the family of Jim announces his passing, on Thursday October 20th. Beloved husband of Aileen (1997) and loving partner to Joyce Devlin (2020). Lovingly remembered and sorely missed by daughter Jenifer Cass (Bill), sons Tim Cass, Paul Devlin (Cheryl), daughter Lynn Penfold, son Chris Devlin (Deb). Jim was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Queenie Cass and his brothers Roy, Ron, Terry and most recently (2020) sister Eadie. Jim leaves behind many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Jim worked as a painter/decorator for most of his life then later travelled extensively throughout North America for Screen Print Display. He was the sitting president and proud member the Brantford Air Force Club for over 50 years. Jim enjoyed golfing, bowling and imbibing in a beverage with any of his favourite people. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Argonauts. The family would like to thank Dr. Liaconis and the nursing staff at Brantford General for all their care in his final weeks of life. On, Saturday October 29th, 2022 there will be a visitation from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. followed by a short service in the chapel at Hill & Robinson Funeral Home, 30 Nelson St. Brantford, 519-752-2543. A Celebration of Life from 2:00- 5:00 p.m. will follow the service at the Brantford Air Force Club, 144 Grey Street, Brantford. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Canadian Cancer Society. "Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories left behind."
