Gear, Thomas Walter - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear father, Thomas Walter Gear born May 6, 1925. He leaves behind his beloved wife who was the love of his life Margaret of 76 years. His children Allan, Malcom (Evelyn Agosto) and Brenda (Dave Gooder). Loving grandfather of Trevor and Tom and great grandchildren Ashely, Jesse and Nico and great great grandfather of Reece and Maximus. Reunited with his granddaughter Michelle. He leaves behind a large extended family. Dad served in the military and worked at Kester Soldier for 40 plus years. His passion was carving and many many times you would see him with a knife in his hand whittling. Mom and dad spent 20 plus years at their summer home on the ocean in Nova Scotia from May until November and made many lifelong friends there. Friends will be received at the Hill and Robinson Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson St. Brantford, 519-752-2543 on Friday October 21st, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the War Amp Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
