Obituary of Muriel Newman

Muriel A. Newman May 9, 1945 - July 15, 2022 We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Muriel Alice Newman (nee Eastman), peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital surrounded by loved ones on Friday, July, 15th in her 78th year. She is now reunited with the love of her life, her late husband Fredrick Newman. Loving mother of Tanya, cherished grandmother of Nicole (Luke), Bree (Carmen), Lacey (Tyler), Jordan, Alicia, Shelby (Sohaib) and 5 great grandchildren, Hailey, Cali, Grayson, Donovan, and Olivia. Muriel is predeceased by her parents, Thomas Eastman and Nellie Coventry and siblings Edward, Mont, and Robert Eastman. She is survived by her brother Nelson and her sister Patricia Coventry- Buckley. She will also be fondly remembered by friends John and Ruth Fogarty and Lorraine Day, brother in law Bill Winter, and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Muriel; who everyone knew as “Nan”, enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who meant the world to her. Known for her famous banana bread and roast beef dinners, her recipes will be passed down for generations to come. Friends will be received at the Hill and Robinson Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street on Tuesday, July 26th from 11am to 12pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel at 12pm. Donations to the Kidney Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
