Betty Taylor, often known simply as "Granny," has passed away at the Brantford General Hospital in her 80th year after a long battle with cancer. She left this world on Monday, May 17th one day before her mother (Hilda Cartmel) passed away fifteen years prior. She is predeceased by her husband William "Bill" Taylor, and is survived by her daughters Cindy Taylor (Gary) and Carol Willitts (Dave), her grandchildren: Josh Willitts, Amy Notdorft (Alex), Jessica Howells (Jeff), and David Willitts (Meghan), as well as her great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Vera, brother Thomas, and brother David (also known as Dine, Moe, and Shave.) She is survived by her sister Mary Dingman (George) and brother Ken "Bob" Cartmel (Judy). The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care wing at the Brantford General Hospital for their care and support during "Mama's" final months.
