Anes, Grietje (Margaret) Passed away peacefully at home on March 21st, 2021 in her 88th year. Loving mother of Wendy (Joe), Jim, and Peter (Angela). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Rebecca (Isaac), Robert (Maddison), Olivia and Madelynn, great granddaughter Pippa and newly born twin great grand-sons Ashley and Richard. Survived by her sisters Ineke and Erica of British Columbia, and her sister Louise and brother René, both in the Netherlands. Cherished by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Robert (Nanning) and daughter Kimberley, and her sister Corry, Margaret has gone to join them in glory in heaven. She was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a faithful and devoted member of the congregation of Bethel Reformed Church where she was widely regarded as a staunch “prayer warrior.” The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional and compassionate care that Margaret received in the last nine months of her life at Seasons Retirement Community in Brantford, and particularly by the staff of the Memory Care wing. She loved you all! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a private interment will be taking place shortly and then a public Celebration of Life will take place at the Bethel Reformed Church at a later date. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted with HILL and ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson St. Brantford, 519-752-2543. Donations in lieu of flowers to the ’Alzheimers Society, World Vision or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
