GARRISON-CLAIR, GWENDOLINE – (1921-2020) Passed away peacefully at Riverview Terrace Retirement Home in Brantford, ON, on May 20, 2020 in almost her 100th year. Gwendoline was born May 20, 1921 in Birmingham, England. She was one of seven (7) daughters born to Thomas and Florence Hackett. Gwendoline is survived by her baby sister, Beryl Mitchell (Ed). Predeceased by John Daniel Garrison (husband) and Gerard Clair (husband). Loving mother of Alan Hackett (son predeceased) and wife Diane; Michael Clair (Veronica); Colin Clair (son predeceased) and wife Marie; Terrance Clair (Jennifer); Anna Clair-Thompson (Tom) and Janet Mansour (predeceased) and husband Raja. A very dear Nanny to 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grand-daughter. Gwendoline was a nurse attendant serving along with her father, in the second World War. She immigrated to Canada in July 1967 with her two daughters, Anna and Janet. Throughout her living years in Canada she was employed as a care provider with the VON. Gwendoline enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her family. She was a devout Jehovah Witness who enjoyed writing letters in her later years as part of her ministry. She enjoyed the fellowship with her brothers and sisters who share the same hope. She is looking forward to the promise of a paradise earth. In accordance with Gwendoline’s wishes, a cremation has already taken place. A private family interment will take place at Farringdon Cemetery along with a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the HILL and ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson Street, 519-752-2543.
