Obituary of Margaret Penney

Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Ann Penney on August 23, 2018 after a short but difficult battle with cancer. Born in Nova Scotia on September 30, 1962 to the late Alexander and Margaret Penney. Margaret was a loving mother to John (Kaela) and George (Sonia). Predeceased in 2009 by her daughter Tanya (Otis). Grandmother to Destiny, Brycce, Tessa, Zak, Nathan, Brady and Kallie with a new grandchild on the way. Margaret spent 25 years with her love, Harry Oakes and remained friends after. Margaret was an Auntie to many nieces and nephews and will be missed by all. Margaret spent the last few months of her life with her dear friend and best friend Tanya, and Amber who helped her live out the rest of her days in comfort and as much laughter as possible. She will be dearly missed by the friends and family who loved her most. Many thanks to the nurses and psws on the palliative unit in the Brantford General Hospital where Margaret was treated with dignity and respect.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10 am at HILL and ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson St. Brantford. 519-752-2543. Funeral service will held in the chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
