Riches, Douglas Charles Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27 at Grand River Hospital - Freeport Campus, Kitchener in his 80th year. Survived by his sister Marilyn, sister-in-law Carolyn, and his nephews David, Paul (Maryanne), and Mark. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Grace (Crocock) Riches and his brother Stanley (Jan. 2017). Douglas enjoyed his long drives in the country, the company of his cats, was interested in computers and photography, and loved animals. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Brantford on Thursday, June 1st, 2017 at 11 a.m. A Memorial Reception will follow at the Hill and Robinson Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre, 16 Andrew St #2, Kitchener, ON N2H 5N8 (519) 742-4673 would be appreciated.
