Murphy, Helen Mary (nee Richardson) - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Thursday, March 3, 2016 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Cecil Murphy. Loving mother of Mary Lou (Jim) McKelvie, John (Sharon), Nancy (Jack) White, Cecil (Carol), Wendy DeVuyst and Sue (Danni) DeVuyst. Helen was cherished by 23 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. The family wishes to acknowledge the staff of palliative care unit at the Brantford General Hospital, for their great care. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Sunday, March 6, 2016, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel (at BECKETT-GLAVES) on March 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Palliative Care Unit - Brantford General Hospital would be appreciated. Online condolences, donations, service details and live funeral webcast will be available at www.hillandrobinson.com. A tree will be planted in memory of Helen in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
