Condolences
Anne, as you approach the one year anniversary of Don's death, I hope that you have received some comfort from the love of friends and family. This must be a difficult time for Adam, Marina, Andrew and David. I know that mom feels the loss of her brother keenly, too. Don certainly left a missing place for all of the members of his family who knew and loved him.
Dear Anne & Family, Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. I am so sorry for your loss.
Dear Anne and Family: Chuck and I are deeply sadden to hear of Don's passing. We have many fond memories of your Holiday Open Houses with wonderful banter and especially Don's delicious nibbles. Find comfort in these memories and know you are in our thoughts today and always.
Dear Family of Don Waldie ~ As our Dad is a resident at Blackadar's, we came to know and love Don... His quick smile, gentle laugh, and love of music will always be remembered. Concerts will not be the same without Don and each time we hear the song, "For the Good Times", we will think of Don so fondly as he would always make this request to the visiting musicians. He was a very special man and we will miss him so much. With our love and in sympathy as you prepare to say goodbye to Don... Bob, Liz & Doug Reeves
Dear Anne, I just wanted to pass along my deepest sympathies and let you know that my thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Anne: My condolences on Don's passing. May many happy family memories help you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Anne and Don (and Adam!) were our wonderful neighbours for many years. None could be better. Don was always there when something was needed and didn't he really love life...gardening, travelling, neighbourhood parties, whatever, Don was there, and enjoying it. Moreover, we were told many times that he was such a fine special-education teacher and yes, that career does require a special person. His last years were so difficult for him and it was very sad really to see this. But we never heard him complain. He was remarkable! We will miss Don and we will remember him. Our sincerest sympathies to Anne, Adam and Marina.
Anne, Adam & Marina ... my heartfelt condolence goes out to you in the loss of Don -- husband and father. He's in a much better place now -- at peace -- with my Dad. Remember the good times and his sense of humour. Be strong for each other. Susan

Dear Anne, Adam and Marina: My sincere condolences to all of you at this most difficult time. Having worked with Don for several years at Central Park School, I so enjoyed his sense of humour and his kindness to many did not go unnoticed. We leave tomorrow night for Ireland, otherwise I would be there on Sunday afternoon. God Bless. Carol Woods
Dear Anne, Our sincere sympathy to you at this very sad time. We remember with pleasure the many acts of friendship and hospitality we have received from you and Don. Our sympathy to the rest of the family as well. Joyce and Warren
Dear Anne & Adam: On behalf of Rebekah & myself, please accept our sincerest heartfelt condolences. It was always a treat to visit at your home, enjoying both yours and Don's hospitality, in the midst of your beautiful gardens. Unfortunately we are out of town at this time, but our thoughts and prayers go with you.
Dear Anne and Adam, please accept my sincere condolences. My regrets for not being able to attend on Sunday, I am leaving for Europe that day. I will remember Don from our get-togethers at your place, he always made me feel welcome. My thoughts are with you, Barbra
Our sincere condolences to Anne, Don's wife, and his three sons, Adam, Andrew and David. I am sure his loss will be felt keenly by all. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Dear Anne, Adam and Marina: We have so many fun memories of Donald at family gatherings. I (Kathleen) was always grateful as a child to have a big brother who protected me, as well as made Mom and Dad get me my first bike and my first pair of high heel shoes. We know that you will be remembering similar things about Donald. We’re thinking of you at this difficult time. Kathleen, Ross, and family
Our thoughts and our prayers are with you and your family at this time of sorrow. May the wonderful memories you shared with your father fill your heart with peace and strength. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Alex & Daisy Arruda - Ottawa, Ontario
