RUTHERFORD, June (Ionson)(nee Hill) - Left this world on Sunday, March 13th, 2011, after a lenghty battle with cancer. Loving wife of Gary Rutherford. Mother of Katherine (George) Legacy, Norma Ionson (Faron Staats), Elizabeth Ionson, Susan Ionson (Dan Aulis), Allan (Jan) Ionson and William Ionson. Grandmother of Shawna, Ross, Isolt, Keegan, Faron, Alissia, Kayla, Eric, Tristan, Ethan, Ashly, Jessica, Nicole, Michelle and Joanne. Great-grandmother of Asher. Survived by her mother-in-law Mary Ionson. She is predeceased by her husband Allan Ionson, brother Gordon Hill, sister-in-law Shiela Cox, brother-in-law Jack Cox and her parents Norma and William Hill. Friends will be received at the HILL & ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson Street, on Saturday, March 19th, from 10-11 a.m. A Memorial Service to honour her life will follow in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Stedman Community Hospice or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
