Susan Mulhall, now Susan Cornell
Sheila was my best friend. We grew up together, meeting each other at 10 years old and until about five years ago, we kept in touch. Sheila was an old soul, always gentle and kind and the most non-judgemental person I have ever known. I am so sad to learn today that she has left the planet - devastated. I loved her so much. We would go over to her house, down the street from mine, before our high school classes, lay on the floor (carpeted, not like my house) and listen to the Moody Blues. High volume. We once bought a racey book - and Sheila hid it in her drawer. Joyce found it and called my dad - yes, we were considered "bad girls". Sheila had a diffiicult life but believed in a better tomorrow. With Barrie, she was only focused on what was good for him. Cathy, she loved you so much. You were her inspiration. Why she went to University and shone. I only learned tonight about Sheila's death, because my brother reads the Brantford obits. My heart is with you. Sheila will live in my heart, always. How can you have a best friend and lose them? I should have kept in better touch. I hope she died with family with her.
Much love
Susan
