Condolences
Dear family We are so sad to hear of Virginia's battle with cancer and her death. This must have been such a painful time for all of you. Our prayers are with you and especially Caitlyn and Amanda. It has been a long time since we even connected with Virginia since we left for the mission field shortly after our time with her at BLEC. May God's grace flow over you all at this time. We can't begin to understand the 'whys and wherefores' of this deep loss. May you feel the love and support of those of us who are holding you from a distance. With love and tears, Bon and Bill Wilkinson (Deans of Residence, BLEC 1984-85)
I have fond memories of being Virgina's roomate at BLEC. Poor Virginia... she would keep her side perfect and my side often looked like a storm had gone through. I remember Virgina as a quiet girl with gentle ways. She would show her kindness to me in the chats that we would have late at night... and by chats I mean that she would often point out the areas of improvement that she felt I needed to know... lol... it was well received and I'm sure that on more than one occasion she would end our chat with a prayer. I told her that I appreciated that. She spoke of her family and her church in Brantford with respect and love. I would like to extend my deepest heartfelt love & prayers to her parents and her daughters. My the grace and mercy of Christ be your strength and comfort.

Dear Joy and family: You probably will not recognize the name, but we new each other when very little - our mothers were friends and belonged to a ladies evening group that met in each others homes...sometimes had outings that included children. When I saw where your daughter had passed, I could not help but send a note, as my daughter is exactly the same age. Our mothers had the same beliefs that they passed on to you and I and from the condolences you passed them on to your daughter as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your husband and your precious grandchildren. God Will Take Care of You. Ruth
Dear Joy & Bing, Caitlyn & Amanda, Lisa & family: You have been in my thoughts & prayers all weekend, & I missed being able to celebrate Virginia's life with you today. I watch the processional from my office window & thought of the many fun time Virginia & I had a camp Oneida as counsellors, our shared memories of two different years at BL, working & planning together at Immanuel... she was a wonderful & talented woman who loved her family greatly. She will always be a part of those she has touched. May you draw strength from the fact to she & all of you are loved &treasured Laura Rawls
My Condolence to the Family of Virginia. I went to BLEC with Virginia. She was a very loving woman. We had some great times together at BL. I even saw her a couple of years ago at camp oneida where my daughter was going to camp. My prayers are with you at this time. God Bless. Pam Ilton-Almon
To Caitlyn and Amanda I first met your mother several years ago when she joined the staff at the National Association of Career Colleges and over the years I have had the pleasure of working with her on a number of committees and projects. I will miss her very much. She was a wonderful person, always quick to smile, hard working and extremely capable. You were her greatest treasures and she spoke of you often with love and pride. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Joy and family: My mother, sister and I would like to express our sympathies to you and your family at this time of sorrow. We have experienced the same loss with a daughter and sister at the age of 42. Our hearts ache for you as we know what you are going through. Just know that we are thinking of you at this time and that God will help you with your sorrow. Memories of Virginia will always be with you and in your hearts. God bless and keep you safe. With all our love, Louise, Pat & Louann.
We had the honour of working with Virginia for the past 8 years. She was a wonderful friend, co worker and person to all, she made the lives of everyone she encountered so important and wonderful. We will miss her very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and with her girls Caitlyn and Amanda.
Thinking and praying for all the loved ones of Virginia. May Jesus uphold you and strengthen you! Sharline Cartwright
