LANGTON, Norah Halajian - It is with profound sadness that the family of Norah Halajian Langton, born February 13, 1928, announces her passing. She succumbed on Saturday, March 7, 2009 after a courageous struggle with serious injuries she sustained after being struck by a motor vehicle. She was an active lady who loved to golf, swim, walk, play bridge, cook, travel and listen to the opera. She made a large contribution to the music community as a piano teacher, a past active board member of the Brantford Symphony Orchestra and of the Brantford Youth Symphony, and as a promoter of live music. Norah is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Sarah Halajian, her brother George Halajian (Sona), and her sister Clare Johnson. She will be sorely missed by her brother Joe (Marilyn), her children Jennifer (Virgil), Karl (Michelle) and Max (Criss), her grandchildren Braeda, Aaron, Zoe, Andy, Stephanie, Maddy and Griffin, her aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, her bridge and golf ladies, her many close friends, colleagues and students, and her beloved "grand dogs". She was a wonderful woman who was loved by all. There will be a drop in celebration of her life on Saturday, March 14 from 1-4 p.m. at Devlin's Country Bistro, 704 Mt. Pleasant Rd., in Mt. Pleasant. Sincere thanks to everyone for all of your good wishes, kind words, and spiritual support, instead of flowers, donations can be sent to a charity of your choice in Norah's honor.
