Obituary of James Gilmour

Gilmour, James Leonard "Jimmy" - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital after a long struggle with Parkinsons in his 80th year. Loving husband of Shirley (nee: Mulligan). Devoted father of John Reid, Wendy Dawdy (Gerald), and Barry. Loving "Pappa" of Erica, Brittany and Brendan. Son of Edith Kathleen "Kay" and the late John "Jack" Reid. Jimmy is also survived by his sister Jean Nunn (Jamie), youngest brother Herbert (Rosanne), sister-in-law Margaret and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Robert and Nelson, and sister-in-law Helen. Jimmy was a long time employee of Massey-Ferguson (42years) as a wood pattern maker. He was also involved with the CAW Skilled Trades Union. Friends will be received at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations to the Parkinson's Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated.
