MacRAE, Ronald James - It is with great sadness the family of Ronald MacRae announce his sudden passing at the Brantford General Hospital, on Monday, August 4th, 2014, in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Penny MacRae (nee Skinner). Much loved father of Brian MacRae, Katie (Jerome Lichtensteiger) MacRae and Chris (Shannon Lang) Skinner. Dear brother of Bonnie (Harry) VanOpstal, son-in-law of Bernice and Ernest Skinner and survived by his first wife Cathy Widdifield. Predeceased by parents Jack and Lillian MacRae and his sister Anna B. Compeau. He will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Ron had over 40 years in the theatre business finishing his career at the Silver City Theatre in Ancaster. He was a fan of country music and above all enjoyed spending time with his family. At Ron's request cremation has already taken place. Friends will be received at the HILL & ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson Street, on Wednesday, August 13th, 2014, from 1-2 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
