DeVuyst, Gertrude (nee: Gillingwater) Passed away on June 14, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer at the Brantford General Hospital in her 93rd year. Wife of the late Aime. Cherished mother of Marilyn (Murray), Larry, Karen, Norman (Gayle), Nancy (Nick), Randy, Rondalyn (Rick), Danni (Susan), Jeffrey (Patricia) and Tari. Gertrude leaves behind a wonderful legacy of 34 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Beverley, son Lannie and her parents Percy and Elizabeth. Gertrude was the last surviving sibling of many sisters and brothers. Special thanks to all the staff on the 5th floor of the Brantford General Hospital for their excellent care. The family will receive friends at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.
