HANSON, Richard "Dick" - Surrounded by his loving family, Richard passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4th, 2013, at the Brantford General Hospital, in his 72nd year. Much loved husband of Norma Hanson for over 49 years. Dear father of Karen (Lance) Crump and Richard P. (Katheryn) Hanson. Beloved grandpa of Ryan Hanson and Lucas Crump. Godfather of Cheryl Curley. Brother of Alwilda Davidson, Joan Scott, Carolyn Purcell and the late Robert Hanson. He will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Many thanks to nurse Irena with the outreach program, and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Brantford General Hospital. At Richard's request cremation has already taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the HILL & ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson Street, 519-752-2543. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Stedman Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
