MATHEWSON, Helen Ruby - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Don Mathewson (1998). Loving mother of Joe (Michele) Mathewson, Darryle (Gerry) Vanderlip and Dawn Williams. Beloved grandmother of Jenny (Derek) Kenwell, Adam Vanderlip, Don, Mike (Kelly) and Amanda Mathewson, and Sarah Williams and cherished great-grandmother of Brandon, Ryan, Quinton, Dorion, Abby, Kaleb and Erika. Helen was born and raised in St. Thomas Ontario, second eldest to William and Pearl Lawrence, loving sister to the late Jean (Ron) Parkins, Sue (George) Rowe, the late Shirley (Guy) Bradley, Myrt (Murray) Zylstra, Bill (Lorraine) Lawrence, Gus (Betty-Ann) Lawrence. Helen's family would like to thank Riverview Terrace Retirement Home and B.G.H. for their caring and loving support of our mom. Mom's laughter, and her love and devotion to her family will forever be remembered in our hearts. Love you Mom. At Helen's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street 519-752-2543. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
