Obituary of Alice Johnstone

JOHNSTONE, Alice Elizabeth - Peacefully at the John Noble Home on Thursday, December 27th, 2007 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late James Johnstone (1977). Loving mother of James (Ruth) of N. Ft. Myers, Florida, and Barbara (Denis) Owen of San Antonio, Texas. Devoted grandmother of seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Sharon, of Brantford and will also be sadly missed by many other family members and friends. Predeceased by her daughters Bernice (1932) and Eleanor (1958), her son Richard (2003) and her grandsons Bill and Glen Staffen. Alice was a kind and gentle mother and person, who was admired and loved by all who knew her. She was a 25 year employee of Barber-Ellis and a charter member of the Ruth Circle at St. James Anglican Church, Brantford, where she was a member for more than 50 years. Friends will be received at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
