Veer, Mijndert "Mike Sr." - Safe in the arms of Jesus his saviour on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Born in the Hilversum, The Netherlands on March 29th, 1917. Loving husband of the late Wilhelmina Jacoba "Mientje" (2005) for over 62 years. Beloved father of Anja (John) Pluim, Joanne (John) de Vries and Mike (Sandra) Veer. Much loved Opa of 9 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by 1 sister and 1 sister-in-law in the Netherlands and by many nieces and nephews throughout Canada and the Netherlands. Visitation at Bethel Reformed Church, 506 West Street on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the church on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Oakhill Cemetery. Donations may be made in Mike's memory to Compassion Canada Children's Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL & ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, (519) 752-2542.
