Obituary of Julia Pappas

PAPPAS, Julia September 12, 1911 - March 2, 2012 After 100 loving and caring years, Julia has gone to be with her beloved husband Tommy (2000). Julia passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. Left to celebrate a wonderful life are her children George and his wife Francine (Orleans), Tom and his wife Lynda and Angie and her husband Stan (Edmonton). Nana will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Alexandre (Naya) and Emmanuel, David and Jillian, Maggie and Morgan and great grandson Noah. Julia owned and operated Tommy's Restaurant in Brantford, along with her husband until their retirement in 1971. After retirement she was able to travel and spend time visiting her children and taking care of her grandchildren, her greatest loves. Julia always had a smile on her face and love in her heart. Julia was a strong and vibrant woman all her life. She was also a kind gentle spirit who loved whenever company would visit for a game of cards and companionship. Julia always had hugs and kisses for everyone and she will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Special thanks to Florence and Marie whose regular visits meant a great deal to Mom, Dr. Jerry Hsiao, all the P.S.W. ladies from ComCare, and to Kaylie who organized a support network so that Mom would have constant companions to provide the assistance she needed.
