Obituary of Alma Allman

ALLMAN, Alma Jean (nee Bechtel) - Passed away in her 98th year on Sunday, January 28, 2012 leaving son David William and daughter Alma Jean Toews (Rex) and grandchildren Kerrie and Ray (Cheryle). Predeceased by husband Alfred E. (1965), daughter Sally (1938) and siblings Earl, Ervin, Alfred, Lloyd and Della; survived by brother-in-law David Allman (Clarice). Mom operated Vera Lea Aviaries on Grand River Ave., raising many budgies. She returned to the workforce and became a RNA at BGH. She enjoyed her work on the TP's and SP5 until her retirement. We are proud of her accomplishments and grateful to have had her as a mother and grandmother. Our thanks and gratitude to the staff at RiverView Terrace for their care, compassion, and support of Mom. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flower it would be appreciated if memorial gifts could be given to a charity of your choice, or to the Memorial Fund at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.
