Obituary of Gary Hussey

HUSSEY, Gary Keith - Peacefully at home with his family at his side, Gary Keith Hussey passed away on Wednesday, August 8th, 2012, in his 71st year. Loving husband and best friend of Phyllis Hussey (nee Hornsby) for over 42 years. Devoted father of Shannon, Priscilla and Andrew Hussey. Dear brother of Dorothy Hildebrand, the late Edgar Hussey and the late Clara Jellis. Much loved son-in-law of Lew and Ethel Hornsby and brother-in-law of Steve, John (Andrea), and Fran (Dave). Predeceased by his parents William and Hazel Hussey. Gary will also be missed by many other family members and friends. Actively involved in the native community, Gary was given the Honourary Native name of Rayanawase which means one who helps. This very thing could be seen in his many years of service with the Brantford General Hospital and the Brantford City Police. At Gary's request cremation has already taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the HILL & ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson Street, 519-752-2543. Friends will received at the Sydenham United Church, 120 Sydenham Street, on Monday, August 20th, from 10-11 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Barry Pridham officiating.
