Shawcross, Mary (nee Reid) - It is with saddened hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother Mary Shawcross, at the Brantford General Hospital on January 24th, 2012, in her 99th year. Predeceased by her husband Louis Shawcross (1955), and her grandson Gordon Campbell (1981). She is survived by her children Rosemary Campbell (Malcolm), Blaine Shawcross (Marea), Marilyn Hitchens, and Nancy Etherington (Reid). Also sadly missed by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also predeceased by her sisters Sally Watts and Lillian Brown, and her brother Bill Reid. Friends will be received at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson St. on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 2-3 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
