Obituary of Eileen Feniuk

FENIUK, Eileen May (nee Drummond) - On Saturday, January 21, 2012 in her 88th year. It is with sadness the family announces the passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and friend. Beloved wife of the late Paul (1992). Loving mother of Cathy (Dugaun Almond), Pauline (Richard Kniaziew) and Ted. "Grams" of Dufton (Kirstie Otto), Blaire (Matt Gervais), Noelle (Thomas Batz) and Jordan. Great-grandmother of Sian, Tomas, Lincoln and Karson. Sister of Charles Drummond and aunt of Margaret (Gary Powell) and "Molly" to several dear nieces and nephews. Dear daughter of the late Carmen and Laura(nee Holt) Drummond. Mom worked at S.C. Johnson for 30 years and made many life long friends. She had a strong work ethic, was a devoted gardener and loved to crochet. Mom loved to walk the trails with Buddy. Yuri was a comfort to her in the latter years. She was very proud to have completed the Terry Fox 10 K walk for 10 years. Mom selflessly cared for dad for 16 years after he had a stroke. She and dad gave us ten remarkable years of country life on the Power Line Road. Mom's life span included coal oil lamps, one room school houses and getting around in a sleigh to the latest technology advances. The family want to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the 7th floor and Palliative Care at the Brantford General Hospital for the kindness and care bestowed upon our mother. Friends will be received at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street on Wednesday, January 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Brant SPCA or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
