Obituary of James Polishak

POLISHAK, James Russel - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, October 25th, 2011, at the age of 89. Born in Melville, Saskatchewan on September 1st, 1922. James is the son of the late Estel Polishak. He was predeceased by his wife Betty (2008). Loving father of Russell (Pat) Polishak, Lynn, Denise (Mark) Wray and Cheryl (Mark) Dubecki. Loving grandfather of Angela (Steve) Marshall, Trisha (Chris) Mank, Christopher Borden, Kyla Henderson, Tawnya (Jeremy) Mallet, Kyle and Jenna Dubecki. Great-grandfather of nine. James is predeceased by his loving great-granddaughter Ava Pearl Violet Lauder, sister Mary Tropak and brothers Gus, Walter and Mike Polishak. He is survived by his sister Pauline Burak, brother Billy Polishak, sister-in-laws Mary Polishak and Gladys Grummett, as well as many nieces and nephews. James was an employee of George Weston's Candy for 25 years and then he was employed at Sonoco until his retirement. James was a member of the Brantford Seventh Day Adventist Church. Friends will be received at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street, on Friday, October 28th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Brantford Seventh Day Adventist Church, 714 Colborne Street East, on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Darryl Blahovich officiating. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations may be made to the Brantford Seventh Day Adventist Church or a charity of your choice.
