Obituary of Jimmie Blue

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Buck (Jimmie) Blue in his 61st year on June 17, 2017. He was a loving, devoted, and admirable husband to Kathy, who had enchanted Buck for 41 years, as well as a cherished and devoted dad to Tanya Valcourt (Jay) and John Blue (Michelle). Never lacking in wisdom or wit, the lessons he taught will never be forgotten, especially those lessons about being a kind person and a loving parent. These lessons continue his legacy in his grandchildren, Hunter, Bryann, and the future Baby Blue, who adored and idolized him. A loving brother to Judy Peckam, Barry (Sandra), Wayne, Jeff (Tyler), brother in law to John and Sally Gamble, Ronnie Gamble and Colleen Gamble, a loving nephew of his favourite Aunt Lil, uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a father figure to Irene Criddle, he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege to know and love him. He is predeceased by his parents, Lorne and Katherine Blue, and his best friend and brother Joe Blue. Those who knew Buck agree that no one else walked through life with such dignity, determination, and pride as he did and that the world is poorer off without his unique sense of humour. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In honour of Jimmie, donations to the B-wing of the seventh floor of the Brantford General Hospital would be appreciated. The world will forever miss and forever love Jimmie Blue “The Rockstar”.
