It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Bill aka Gig to family, at the Stedman Community Hospice on May 7, 2017 in his 61st year. Bill battled cancer for 15 years. He fought through all expectations with courage, humour and dignity. Soul Mate and husband of Cathy Welsh. Loving brother of Anita, Richard, Judy and their families. Predeceased by his parents William and Bernadette (Brant) Stolar. Predeceased by siblings Randy, Linda and Howard. Cherished uncle to Tara and Jade. Bill will be missed by friends and members of the House. He enjoyed rides on his 2006 Harley. He was an employee of Raymond Industrial for 10 years. Thanks to everyone who cared and supported Bill over the years. At Bill's request cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at HILL and ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson Street, Brantford, on Friday, May 12, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Stedman Community Hospice, Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Brant SPCA would be appreciated.
